I just finished grading the final exam. As you know, the final exam was worth 30 (percentage) points. 97 out of 98 students took the exam. The high score was 30 (two students). The low score (among those who sat for the exam) was 3. The mean was 22.82 (out of 30). Copies of your final exam will be available next semester. Check back later for further details on how you can pick up a copy of your exam.

I just finished grading the final exams and have sent them to the copy center for reproduction. As you know, the final exam was worth 40 (percentage) points. The average score was 28.11 (out of 40). The high score was 38.5 (two students). The low score (among students who sat for the exam) was 23.5. Copies of your final exam will be available next semester.
I updated my Excel spreadsheet for the class. I have calculated tentative final grades that capture scores earned for all graded components of the class except the final exam (worth 40% of your final grade). In other words, 60% of the class is complete. Feel free to stop by my office to check/confirm your tentative final grade before the final exam on December 16, 2008.
I graded Quiz #4. The average score was 4.39 (out of 5). Please stop by my office before December 16, 2008 if you would like a copy of your quiz.
I graded Quiz #5. The average score was 3.62 (out of 5). I will hand back copies of Quiz #5 during class on December 8, 2008.
As I announced during class earlier today, I decided to revise the syllabus slightly. Please read Chapter 17 and 18 for December 3, 2008. You can skip all of the cases in both chapters. There will be no more Socratic Method questioning the remainder of the semester. Student course evaluations will take place December 3, 2008 or December 8, 2008. Quiz #5 will be administered December 3, 2008 or December 8, 2008. Please read Chapter 51 before class on December 8, 2008. You can skip all of the cases. Class will not meet December 10, 2008. However, I will be in my office from from 8:00AM to 10:30AM on December 10, 2008 to hand back Quiz #5 and any other class assignments/exams/quizzes that you have yet to receive. Please stop by. In addition, I will bring a copy of my Excel grade spreadsheet if you want to confirm your then-current scores. I will also be available to answer any questions pertaining to the final exam at this time.
